The Academy will be held June 22-28 at the NH Technical Institute (NHTI) in Concord, NH.  It is a residential program requiring the Cadets to report Saturday morning and they are dismissed after graduation the following Friday.

There are three academy classes held during the same week. The Academy starts with the
Basic class, held for the first time cadet and is limited to 90 applicants. The cadet who returns for the second year, attends the Advanced Class. This is limited to thirty applicants. The cadet who returns a third year, is usually serious about a career in law enforcement and attends the Leadership Class. This is limited to fifteen  applicants.

During the course of the Academy the staff awards the $1000 Walter "Bud" Dockham & $500 John Osborne Memorial Scholarships to two cadets who are entering or enrolled in college.  They also award the Edward Soucy Memorial Scholarship for a Basic or Advanced Cadet to return to the next session.

Cadets wanting to attend, but needing assistance with the enrollment fees are encouraged to download scholarship applications for the Ofc. Rene Forcier Memorial Scholarship given by the Dunbarton Police Association, Ofc. Sean Powers Memorial Scholarships (2) provided by the Powers Family to current or graduated students from Hopkinton or Hillsboro-Deering High Schools, the NH Sheriff's Association Scholarship and an award provided by a generous donor family.  The former Nashua Police Explorer Posts has provided funding for enrollment assistance youth in the City of Nashua.

The training for all three class levels, is conducted by the most prestigious people in their fields. The training is demanding, the classroom topics are fascinating, and the discipline is motivating. Forms for enrollment are now on-line. Follow the links below and print the Academy Application form and have the medical/health forms completed by your physician (note that parental signature is also required). The NHPCTA has a long history of tradition and career development. Be a part of this experience.
