I wanted to let everyone know that Merrimack PD has partnered with New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency and is now the caretaker of the “Convincer” seat belt educational system .  If you have a desire to have the “convincer” at your PD for any functions, or for any Community event, please contact Lt. Paul Trepaney at 424-3774 or at ptrepaney@merrimacknh.gov.

We will provide the unit at no cost to you, throughout the state, including transportation to and from the event and the officers to man the unit while at your event.  They will explain the purpose of the unit, and guide participants through the experience of a 5 mph collision while seat belted in the “convincer”.

Please let us know if you or your community are interested in this terrific educational tool.  More information about the convincer can be found at:  http://www.seatbeltconvincer.com/.

The convincer is made available to all New Hampshire Law Enforcement agencies and their communities through a grant provided by the New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency.

Thank you and stay safe!

 Chief Mark Doyle
